Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas Sued Over Sharing Ticket-Buyers’ Info

Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas LLC shared the ticket-purchasing historiesof consumers with Meta Platforms Inc., TikTok Inc., Google LLC and other third parties in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, a proposed federal class action said.

Daisy Garza alleged that the cinema chain installed tracking pixels on its website that sent consumers’ personally identifiable information to third parties each time they purchased a movie ticket there.
