YouTube Creators Drop AI-Training Copyright Suit Against Nvidia

YouTube content creators dropped their lawsuit accusing Nvidia Corp. of illegally scrapping millions of videos to train and develop its AI model that generates video content, according to a federal court filing.

Creator plaintiffs David Millette and Ruslana Petryazhna on Monday filed a notice of voluntary dismissal, without prejudice, in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The notice was filed the same day a California judge dismissed the creators’ state law claims in a separate lawsuit against OpenAI Inc.
