Verizon, Ericsson Get Jury Win in Procomm 5G-Patent Lawsuit (1)

Verizon Communications Inc. and Ericsson defeated Procomm International Pte’s lawsuit accusing them of infringing a patent covering 5G wireless communication technology.

Verizon and Ericsson didn’t infringe US Patent No. 8,497,813, according to a Feb. 20 jury verdict entered into the docket Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Procomm sued Verizon and Ericsson in January 2024, alleging infringement by products including base stations for Verizon’s network.
