Vans Stops N.Y. Artists From Selling Tyga’s ‘Wavy Baby’ Shoes

Vans Inc. obtained an injunction to prevent a Brooklyn art collective from selling “Wavy Baby” shoes endorsed by rapper Tyga, which Vans claims infringe the trademarks and trade dress of its “Old Skool” shoe line.

The preliminary injunction order filed April 29 by Judge William F. Kuntz against MSCHF Production Studio Inc said that Vans had established it would likely prevail on its claims of consumer confusion over the shoes and would face irreparable harm without an injunction.
