The Toronto Stock Exchange and the Texas Stock Exchange, which is set to launch in the new year, ended a trademark dispute over the upstart’s “TXSE” branding.
The stock exchanges resolved the dispute in mediation, according to a Dec. 12 docket entry in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The parties have until Jan. 12 to file dismissal papers.
The Texas Stock Exchange, whose corporate name is TXSE Group Inc., applied to register a trademark for “TXSE” at the US Patent and Trademark Office in May 2023.
