A Texas patent suit over rival backpacks with phone or laptop charging capabilities settled late Wednesday, as Swissdigital USA Co. and Wenger SA reached a truce after a day of mediation.
in April 2021, Swissdigital, a Buffalo, N.Y. company, sued Wenger, which licenses the Swiss Gear brand for luggage and other products, for infringement of US Patent Nos. 10,574,071 and 10,931,138 through the sale of backpacks with USB charging capabilities.
The parties started mediation in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas’ Waco Division on Wednesday shortly after the court rejected Wenger’s motion to dismiss the case. ...
