A federal appeals court in Manhattan rejected petitions from the National Labor Relations Board and a union that asked the court to block Starbucks Corp.'s subpoenas seeking disclosure of worker communication regarding union organizing.

The dispute over Starbucks’ subpoenas at the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit stems from the NLRB’s bid to win a nationwide court order against the company to halt its allegedly illegal union-busting campaign. The appeals court issued its order Tuesday.
