Sonos Wants Latest Google Patent Case Moved to West Texas

Sonos Inc. asked a San Francisco federal court to move Google LLC’s latest complaint in their patent dispute to West Texas, arguing Google’s filing was an improper attempt at forum shopping that came hours after Sonos told the tech giant it intended to sue in Texas court.

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas is the busiest district in the country for patent cases, and many patent owners prefer to file there based on its reputation for moving patent cases quickly, among other things.
