Solo Stove Settles Patent Suit Over Coleman Smokeless Firepits

Solo Stove and two manufacturers of smokeless fire pit sold and City Bonfires brands settled dueling claims of patent infringement and invalidity.

Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby dismissed the lawsuit on Jan. 9 after Solo Stove, City Bonfires LLC, and Backhome Products LLC reached a deal, according to an order published Jan. 9 in the US District Court for the District of Maryland.

The parties were scheduled to appear for a discovery conference the day the suit was dismissed. The details of the agreement aren’t public.
