Fire pits sold by City Bonfires LLC and Backhome Products LLC infringe three Solo Stove patents, according to a new federal lawsuit.
The defendants were aware of Solo’s patents and protected trade dress due to previous business discussions, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Maryland. Even so, they deliberately copied Solo’s intellectual property by selling infringing smokeless fire pits at Ace Hardware, Recreational Equipment Inc., and Tractor Supply Co.
