SharkNinja Fires Back at Dyson in Bagless Vacuum Patent Feud

SharkNinja Operating LLC sued Dyson Inc. to defend its sale of bagless vacuums three months after the British home appliance maker filed patent infringement claims against its US rival.

SharkNinja’s products are markedly different than those described in Dyson’s vacuum patents, the company said in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts product design company seeks to enjoin Dyson from “continuing its patent assertion campaign” of five inventions.
