SharkNinja Inc. ripped off groundbreaking cyclonic vacuum cleaner technology developed by rival appliance maker Dyson Inc. and should be permanently blocked from selling its copycat bagless vacuums in the US, according to a lawsuit.
Nearly a dozen models of SharkNinja’s cyclonic floor cleaners have “striking similarities” with Dyson bagless vacuums, which let the company steal Dyson’s market share, Dyson and its UK-based technology unit alleged in a complaint filed May 24 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
