Samsung, Techiya Settle ‘Unclean Hands’ Patent Dispute in Texas

Samsung Electronics Co. and Staton Techiya LLC reached a settlement in principle in their patent fight over the Korean tech giant’s Galaxy product line after a judge found two former Samsung attorneys committed misconduct by giving confidential information to Techiya.

Techiya, Samsung, and Samsung Electronics America Inc. requested a 30-day stay in the proceedings so that the parties can finalize the settlement, filing a joint motion Sunday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
