Samsung Settles Display Panel Patent Fight With Solas OLED

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has reached an agreement to end a dispute over display panel and flexible touch sensor patents owned by licensing firm Solas OLED.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in March 2021 decided Samsung owed $62.7 million because its Galaxy and Galaxy Note smartphones infringed two patents. The award increased to $77.7 million with enhanced damages.
