ResMed Mostly Cancels Seven NYU Sleep-Disorder Patents From Suit

ResMed Inc. persuaded an administrative tribunal to nix the majority of seven New York University patents it’s been accused of infringing in an ongoing federal lawsuit.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board cut 141 of the 183 claims in NYU’s inventions used to treat sleeping disorders, finding them obvious in light of prior art, according to seven decisions issued this week.
