Ultra Music Publishing LLC dropped its lawsuit against Sony Music Entertainment accusing the record label of underpaying songwriter royalties.
Ultra said it was dismissing its claims with prejudice and without costs or attorneys’ fees to any party in a notice filed Dec. 5 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The suit had been stayed since May.
Ultra Music Publishing sued Sony late last year, pointing to an audit that discovered miscalculated payments and royalties Ultra was owed but Sony didn’t pay.
