Pornhub parent company Aylo Holdings and WellcomeMat LLC are resolving their online-video patent dispute a week before a jury trial was set to begin.
Magistrate Judge Roy Payne stayed proceedings for 30 days so the companies can finalize dismissal papers. His Sunday order in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas followed Aylo and WellcomeMatt’s Nov. 7 notification that they’d reached an agreement to settle the case.
A trial in WellcomeMat’s October 2023 suit accusing Aylo of infringing a video-upload and content-categorization patent, US Patent No. 8,307,286, was set to begin Nov. 17.
