Partial Ban on Use of ‘GT Racing’ Trademark Affirmed by 4th Cir.

The Fourth Circuit backed a ban won by a gaming-chair company on a rival’s use of “GTRacing” in Europe in violation of a 2021 settlement agreement.

The district court justly barred Wudi Industrial (Shanghai) Co. from using its mark in Europe because the settlement gave GT Omega Racing Ltd. exclusive rights to the branding there, the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit said Friday in a precedential opinion.
