Nvidia Moves to Ax YouTube Video Creator’s AI-Training Lawsuit

Nvidia Corp. offered a federal judge multiple reasons to quash proposed class action accusing it of using a content creator’s YouTube videos to train its artificial intelligence systems without permission.

Plaintiff David Millette’s case should be tossed because he doesn’t have standing, the Copyright Act preempts its claims, and the complaint doesn’t supply “bedrock requirements” alleging harm, Nvidia said in its motion to dismiss filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
