Netflix Gets 10th Cir. to Rethink ‘Tiger King’ Copyright Revival

Netflix Inc. convinced an appeals court to reconsider the documentary filmmaking implications of its partial revival of a videographer’s copyright lawsuit over the hit docuseries “Tiger King.”

The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit vacated its March revival of a claim by cameraman Timothy Sepi in a Monday order, and requested supplemental briefing on how fair use applies to clips featured in documentary works.
