Netflix Must Partially Relitigate ‘Tiger King’ Copyright Lawsuit

Netflix Inc. will face revived claims that it violated the copyright of a cameraman whose clip was used for about a minute in the hit docuseries “Tiger King.”

The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit on Wednesday ruled that Netflix and Royal Goode Productions LLC failed to establish their use of Timothy Sepi’s footage was protected under fair use, overruling part of an Oklahoma federal court’s ruling.
