Neonode’s Samsung Touchscreen Patent Suit Revived at Fed. Cir.

A district court win for Samsung Electronics Co. was undone Tuesday as the Federal Circuit ruled that a Texas judge incorrectly invalidate a smartphone patent asserted against the Korean company.

Judge Alan Albright of the US District Court for the Western District of Texas was wrong to conclude that Neonode Smartphone LLC’s US Patent No. 8,095,879 is invalid as indefinite, Judge Sharon Prost wrote for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
