MLB, Inventor End Patent Lawsuit Over Digital Ticket Technology

Major League Baseball’s digital media division and eChanging Barcode LLC asked a federal judge to dismiss their dispute over a patent covering technology to prevent unauthorized screenshots of digital tickets.

MLB Advanced Media LP and eChanging filed a stipulation of dismissal Friday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, asking Judge Paul A. Engelmayer to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice.

EChanging sued Live Nation Entertainment Inc. and its Ticketmaster unit on Oct. 30, alleging infringement of the same patent. The suit is pending.
