A character performer should remove infringing materials related to the Blippi Youtube channel from its website and social media accounts and pay statutory damages to the studio, a magistrate judge recommended.
Moonbug Entertainment, the studio that produces popular YouTube children’s channels Blippi and Cocomelon, sued Barry Dean Long in October 2024. US Magistrate Judge Leslie Hoffman Price said in a report and recommendation Tuesday that Moonbug sufficiently pleaded its claims for trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, and copyright infringement to grant a partial default judgment.
