Lululemon Owes Nike $355,000 Over Flyknit Patents, Jury Says (1)

Nike Inc. convinced a New York federal jury that Lululemon USA Inc. infringed a utility patents covering knit sneakers, but awarded the sports-apparel giant just a portion of the damages it sought.

Lululemon owes Nike $355,000 after the company failed to undermine any of Nike’s patents that remained in the case against the activewear company that recently expanded into footwear, according to the verdict filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The jury reached its decision March 7, according to the verdict form.
