Kia, Hyundai, DigiMedia Seek More Time to Finalize Patent Suit

DigiMedia Tech LLC, Kia Corp., and Hyundai Motor Co. asked a Texas federal judge to give them more time to finalize an agreement resolving their patent infringement dispute concerning virtual assistant and surround-view camera systems in vehicles.

The companies have reached a settlement but need an additional 30 days to complete conditions before a dismissal, according to a joint motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne granted a stay in December which expired in January.
