Judge Rejects Lawyer’s Recusal Request in Suit-Funding Probe

Delaware’s chief judge refused to withdraw his Nov. 30 opinion defending his “inherent authority” to carry out a heated judicial probe, one week after an attorney for an IP Edge-linked firm lost a bid to halt the litigation-finance investigation.

Judge Colm F. Connolly said Nimitz Technologies LLC’s motion “is devoid of merit, and I will therefore summarily deny it,” according to an order issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
