JP Morgan, Patent Owner Agree to Drop Data-Security Patent Suit

DigitalDoors Inc. agreed to dismiss its patent infringement allegations against JP Morgan Chase Bank NA concerning data-security technology.

Each party will bear its own costs and attorneys’ fees, according to a Monday order filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District dismissing the case with prejudice. Digital Doors’ lawsuits against other financial institutions, including Comerica Bank and Capital One NA, remain pending in a consolidated proceeding.
