Impinj’s $2M NXP Patent Trial Win Still Awaits Final Judgment

Impinj Inc.’s $2 million win against NXP Semiconductors Netherlands BV is still waiting for a final judgment after a Texas federal judge refused enter one—more than two months after the jury found three radio frequency identification patents were infringed.

Judge Alan Albright didn’t disclose a reason for denying Impinj’s motion for a final judgment on the verdict, according to an omnibus post-trial conference order from Jan. 31 filed Wednesday in the US District for the Western District of Texas. The judge did, however, grant most of Impinj’s motions regarding supplemental damages and royalties.
