Impinj, NXP Settle $2 Million Texas Radio Frequency ID Tech Suit

NXP Semiconductors Netherlands BV and its American unit settled Impinj Inc.’s infringement allegations over three radio frequency identification technology patents months after a Texas jury issued a $2 million verdict against NXP.

The companies alerted the court Wednesday they reached a settlement resolving the allegations and counterclaims, according to a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. The companies said each party will handle its own costs and attorneys’ fees.
