H&R Block Tells 8th Cir. to Uphold Ban on Tying Cash App, Block

H&R Block Inc. pushed back at an Eighth Circuit panel’s suggestion Wednesday that only weak evidence backed a preliminary ban on Jack Dorsey’s digital payment company using its corporate name Block Inc.

The tax preparation company in April convinced a district judge to rule that Block Inc.'s Cash App Taxes can’t be owned by a legal entity with the word “Block” in it, nor can Block appear in any connection to Cash App Taxes.
