Groupon, Patent Owner Resolve Network Communications Tech Suit

Groupon Inc. and DataCloud Technologies LLC resolved their patent infringement dispute concerning network communications and data management systems.

The companies notified the court they’ve reached a settlement, according to a joint motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Groupon and DataCloud requested a 30-day stay to finalize the agreement.

• DataCloud sued Groupon in December, alleging the company infringed US Patent Nos. 6,651,063 and 7,209,959 through its website infrastructure.
