GoPro Wins Jury Trial Over Rival’s Multi-Camera Rig Patent

GoPro Inc. defeated a rival’s infringement lawsuit as a federal jury in Delaware on Friday canceled a 360Heros Inc. patent for a 360-degree camera mount.

GoPro’s Omni multi-camera rig wouldn’t have infringed the patent even if jurors had upheld its validity, according to a verdict filed in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.

Last June, Judge Matthew F. Kennelly adopted most of a magistrate judge’s recommendation when he found that two other GoPro rigs, the Abyss and Odyssey, don’t infringe the patent.
