Google, Samsung Lose Bid to Revive Location Tech Patent Probe

An administrative patent tribunal rejected Google LLC and Samsung Electronics’ last attempt to review the validity of an AGIS Software Development LLC patent covering location-sharing technology, ruling Tuesday that delays in parallel district court litigation aren’t enough to reopen the probe.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said it wouldn’t grant a rehearing after refusing to examine US Patent 9,820,123.
