Former Pac-12 Schools End Trademark Lawsuit Over Vintage Logos

All 12 schools of the former PAC-12 athletic conference settled their trademark lawsuit against Sportswear Inc. over merchandise featuring retro versions of their branding.

The schools—including the University of Southern California, University of Oregon and University of Washington—and Sportswear filed a stipulation to dismiss the case Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. The case survived a motion to dismiss in 2022 and was in settlement negotiations until the parties notified the court of their agreement in September.
