Celebrity-biography website Famous Birthdays LLC asked a federal court to block influencer-marketing platform Passes Inc. from copying and posting its proprietary data.
Famous Birthdays’ preliminary injunction request is bolstered by its computer fraud, copyright infringement, and unfair competition claims against Passes that are likely to prevail, according to its motion filed Saturday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
A hearing on the motion, assigned to Magistrate Judge Alka Sagar, is set for Nov. 21 in Los Angeles, the filing said.
