Aaron Reitz announced a long expected campaign for Texas Attorney General on Thursday, a day after he stepped down as head of the Justice Department’s policy office.
Reitz, who spent the past three months as chief of the Office of Legal Policy, touted his conservative accolades working in the Trump administration and previously for US Sen. Ted Cruz (R) and Texas AG Ken Paxton (R).
“This is no time for half-measures or untested cowards,” Reitz said in a statement. “I’ve spent my entire career in the trenches with the toughest conservatives in America.”
