Dish Sues Fubo, BODi for Royalties From Video-Streaming Patents

Dish Network Corp. expanded its campaign to secure patent royalties from content-streaming services, alleging in two new lawsuits that fuboTV Inc. and Beachbody Co. infringe eight patents for technology that allows for smooth streaming regardless of connection speeds.

The patents cited in the new complaints, both filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, are all related to adaptive bitrate, or ABR, technology.
