DISH, Sling TV Sue iFIT Over Adaptive Video Streaming Technology

DISH Technologies LLC and Sling TV LLC sued iFIT Health & Fitness Inc. for allegedly infringing its patents for multi-bitrate content streaming systems.

iFIT violated DISH and Sling’s exclusive right to commercialize its HTTP-based adaptive bitrate streaming technology when the defendant used the same systems in its workout and personal training devices, the lawsuit alleged. DISH and Sling brought their suit in the US District Court for the District of Delaware on Friday.
