Coros Reaches Settlement with Patent Owner in Smartwatch Suit

Coros Wearables Inc. and CardiacSense Ltd. are finalizing a settlement to resolve the lawsuit accusing Coros’ Pace sport watch products of infringing a patent for monitoring users’ activity.

Coros and CaridacSense requested a continuing stay of the dispute until Sept. 29 to finalize their agreement, according to a status report filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The court previously stayed the dispute in July pending the resolution of an administrative tribunal’s review of Garmin International Inc.’s challenge to CaridacSense’s patent.
