Chinese Pool-Cleaning Robot Patent Claims Grab ITC’s Attention

The US International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into patent-infringement claims that two of Fluidra SA’s Zodiac Pool units lodged against online sellers of pool-cleaning robots made in China, according to a notice posted Monday to the agency’s website.

Zodiac Pool Systems LLC and its European unit filed the complaint July 29, alleging that Winny Pool Cleaner, Tianjin Pool & Spa Corp., and several units of Aiper Inc. sell devices that infringe the patents.
