Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc. and its Redbox Automated Retail LLC subsidiary settled a patent owner’s lawsuit alleging they infringed video-on-demand streaming technology.
The companies and patent enforcement entity MusicQubed Innovations LLC alerted the court to their settlement and requested a 30 day stay of the proceedings to finalize the terms of the agreement, according to a joint motion filed May 6 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
