Berkshire Unit Keeps Win Over Two Stryker Joint-Plate Patents

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. ‘s OsteoMed LLC knocked out parts of two joint-plate patents owned by a unit of its rival, Stryker Corp. as the Federal Circuit upheld a tribunal’s invalidity decisions.

The appeals court rejected four different arguments from Stryker European Operations Holdings LLC attempting to undo the Patent Trial and Appeal Board rulings and revive US Patent Nos. 9,078,713 and 10,993,751.
