Stryker Corp.’s Sage Products LLC must pay $28 million to Becton Dickinson and Co.’s PureWick Corp. after a federal jury found that a female catheter sold by Sage infringes two PureWick patents and a male catheter infringes another.

Jurors in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware delivered their verdict on April 1, finding that Sage’s PrimaFit catheter for women infringes two PureWick patents that also are part of a pending lawsuit PureWick filed in January over the latest version of the product, PrimaFit 2.0, which Sage launched in 2021.
