Bang Energy Seeks New Trial in False Ad Spat With Monster Energy

Bang Energy drink maker Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc.—which is going through bankruptcy proceedings in Florida—asked a Los Angeles federal court for a new jury trial or reduced damages in a $293 million false advertising dispute with rival drink maker Monster Energy Co.

Monster, which sued Bang for falsely claiming that its drinks contained “Super Creatine,” won the jury award last September after a weeks-long trial in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
