Audible Fires Back Against Litigation Fund-Backed Patent Owner

Audible Inc. sued a patent-owning entity, seeking a declaration from a federal court that the audio book and podcasting company doesn’t infringe six patents covering streaming technology.

Audio Pod IP LLC filed multiple suits asserting the patents against Audible and its parent company Amazon.com Inc. in 2024 in Virginia, but a judge there let Audible out of one of the cases earlier this month, finding it’d been targeted in the wrong venue.
