Apple Wins Bid to Resume AliveCor Suit Over Heart Monitor Tech

A California federal judge granted Apple Inc.'s motion to lift a pause on its patent-infringement suit against AliveCor Inc. over heart-monitoring technology, during a Thursday hearing.

It doesn’t make sense “to now sit on this for two more years,” Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. said at a hearing in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The stay served its purpose, to allow an administrative tribunal to consider the validity of Apple’s patents, the judge said.
