Travelers Dismisses Insurance Suit Over YouTube Addiction Claims

A Travelers Cos. insurer dropped its suit against Alphabet Inc.'s Google over coverage for litigation alleging YouTube’s algorithms were designed to get kids hooked.

St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co. filed a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice Tuesday in the Delaware Superior Court. No other information was immediately available.

A parallel action brought by Google in California state court against the Travelers unit and its other insurers is still pending, as is a separate Delaware case against Google brought by units of American International Group Inc.
