Meta Tells Delaware Judge to Toss or Transfer Insurance Dispute

Meta Platforms Inc. and its subsidiary Instagram LLC asked a Delaware federal court to toss a dispute initiated by insurers over coverage for social media addiction litigation, arguing the suit was premature and brought in the wrong venue.

The motion to dismiss filed in the US District Court for the District of Delaware on Wednesday is part of Meta’s bid to shake the insurers’ suit and put off litigating coverage issues until the underlying cases alleging it got minors hooked on its platforms are resolved.
