Liberty Mutual Units Drop Claims Over Church Sex Abuse Cases

Two Liberty Mutual Group units dropped their claims in an insurance coverage dispute tied to sexual abuse lawsuits against Immanuel Baptist Church in Virginia.

Peerless Indemnity Insurance Co. and Peerless Insurance Co. filed a stipulation of voluntary dismissal with prejudice Feb. 13 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, citing an agreement involving the church and underlying plaintiffs last year.
